Frequently Asked Questions

Brown and black bears, wolves, wolverines, sheep, lynx, river otters, beavers, and marten need to be sealed and we are happy to provide this service for you. All sheep and specific unit bears must be sealed by the ADF&G office.

• Driver's License
• Hunting License
• Harvest Ticket Number
• Bait Station Number (if applicable)
• Specific Take Location
• Must bring skull and hide for ALL bear sealing

• Keep cool and dry - do not wash or wet hide
• Do not use plastic bags, use game bags instead. 
• Do not salt hides! Only salt hides that are properly turned and fleshed.
• Do not hang up to air dry

We recommend preparing ahead of time. Do not let the hide sit out as it can begin to deteriorate in 2-3 days, bring it to our shop as soon as possible for the best results.

Your outfitter/guide can definitely drop off or send your trophy to our shop! A Temporary Sealing Certificate (TSC) is required for drop off if your animal has not been sealed yet. You can print off the TSC in our Helpful Downloads section.

We accept drop-offs and mail-ins. We also offer FREE airport pick ups. This can also be organized through your outfitter/guide. 

We offer various methods of shipping like: Air Cargo, FedEx, UPS, and freight. Shipping costs depend on box/crate size and weight.
